Percival Lafer - side table, 1970s design, solid jatobá wood and marble.

Measurements:

Original period side table, designed by Percival Lafer , part of the MP-41 set, developed between 1966 and 1968 and primarily intended for the export market.

The piece features a robust structure in solid jatobá wood , combined with a natural marble top, highlighting the timeless elegance of Brazilian modernist design. The project emphasizes handcrafted work , a hallmark of Lafer's work during this period.

The MP-41 set, composed of armchairs, sofas, stools, side tables and coffee tables, is today a benchmark of modern Brazilian furniture. This particular table is cataloged in the book Percival Lafer: design, industry and market (Ed. Olhares, pp. 112-113) , along with the rest of the MP-41 set, which reinforces its historical and collectible importance.

It should be noted that this is an authentic, original period piece , not a contemporary reissue, preserving all the authenticity of the design produced in the 1960s.

At Galeria Lora Ronco, we offer a curated selection of unique and genuine pieces. The marks of time present in our vintage furniture not only attest to its authenticity but also add a rich layer of history to each item.
